Clinton van der Berg is a seasoned South African sports journalist and communications professional with over 30 years of experience. From 2009 to 2020, he served as the Head of Communications at SuperSport, Africa’s leading sports broadcaster, overseeing public relations and media strategy. He subsequently worked as Talent Manager at SuperSport.
Previously, Van der Berg held senior editorial roles at the Sunday Times, including seven years as a reporter and senior writer, followed by eight years as sports editor. He has reported on major international sporting events such as the Olympic Games and championship boxing in Las Vegas, and has contributed to publications across the world.
An award-winning writer, Van der Berg is the author of two book, 'Chasing the Dream', the autobiography of Olympic swimmer Ryk Neethling, and 'Guns and Needles', a compelling investigation into doping in South African sport.
His extensive career reflects a deep commitment to sport journalism, communications and helping shape the voices in SA sport.
