Entries open for Dusi ’25

Entries for the 2025 Dusi Canoe Marathon are open as organisers continue to prepare for the iconic event from February 20-22, 2025.

Heading into the new year, organisers have taken the decision to allow paddlers to enter the race as an individual and then convert that to a K2 entry at a later stage, when they have secured a partner.

“We’re trying to make things as simple and accessible as possible for paddlers,” said KwaZulu-Natal Canoe Club chairman Doug Gow, “knowing that many K2 partnerships are only finalised in the month leading up to the event.”

“Entries are open for the 2025 event, and we encourage those entering to make sure they take advantage of our early bird entries.”

For 2025, the event will be giving away an unprecedented prize. All entrants, present at prize giving, will go into a draw to win Andy Birkett’s Euro Steel K1 from the 2025 Dusi.

Birkett will be chasing a record-equalling 15th Dusi title in 2025 and, should he win, he will equal the record set by the great Graeme Pope-Ellis.

“There’s no better incentive than to potentially own a piece of Dusi history. If Andy wins Dusi 2025, entrants could win one of the most prized items of Dusi memorabilia.”

“It’s a fantastic incentive to enter the 2025 race and we hope that the majority of our entrants take advantage of the early bird entries,” Gow added.

Early Bird entries close on December 26 and after that normal entries will apply. Entries can be found at www.dusi.co.za/entries
