Africa’s leading combat sports promotion, EFC, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with fintech platform FiveWest in a collaboration that aims to transform how fighters and fans manage their finances.
FiveWest, which operates in over 26 countries, will become EFC’s official payment partner, offering services that allow athletes to send, receive, and invest money seamlessly across Africa and the world.
The partnership will enhance FiveWest’s visibility through EFC television broadcasts and various content formats. FiveWest branding will also feature in post-event press conferences and media releases, particularly for the ‘FiveWest Performance Bonuses’ and ‘FiveWest Fight of the Night’ awards. EFC fighters will receive their performance bonuses and incentives through FiveWest accounts, enabling instant transactions and reinvestments.
EFC president Cairo Howarth expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting FiveWest’s professionalism and efficiency in handling trades and transfers. FiveWest CEO Omer Iqbal emphasised the mutual benefits of the collaboration, noting that it supports the sport while providing athletes and businesses with innovative financial solutions.
